A first-floor family flagship on Blue Crane Drive
The Master Suite is the first-floor flagship in the Luxury Guest House — the room we point families toward when the adults want a proper King XL bed and the children still need a place to sleep in the same suite. Capacity is two adults plus two children under twelve. You are at 279 Blue Crane Drive, a short walk into Dullstroom village for supper, coffee, or the historic pub, then back upstairs to a private lounge that opens onto two balconies.
This is not a farm lodge and not a dam-side cabin. It is a village house stay with extra floor area: a large bedroom, a dressing room with bay windows, and enough lounge space that the fold-out sofa does not sit in the doorway. Book it when you want the first-floor rooms rather than a ground-floor garden pair.
Sleeping and layout
Sleeping is a King XL bed plus a double fold-out sofa recommended for children up to twelve. We do not sell the sofa as a second adult bed. The bedroom is the large one in this house, and it opens into a dressing room with bay windows — the sort of extra room that makes packing for a highland weekend feel less like living out of a suitcase.
From the private lounge you step onto two balconies. That is the Master’s particular luxury: sitting space that is not the bed, with outdoor air on two sides. The suite interleads with the Loft Family Suite when a larger family wants both first-floor rooms together. Ask stay@ if that pairing is the better plan; then confirm on the booking hub.
Bathroom and in-suite comfort
The bathroom is a full one: double vanity, double shower, and a separate toilet. There is no spa bath here — that belongs to Garden on the ground floor — and there is no shower-only compromise. Two people can get ready at the same time without queuing at a single basin.
In-suite comfort from inventory: free Wi-Fi and a TV with Netflix, Nespresso with a milk frother, and percale linen. A beverage station includes a minibar fridge with still water and milk, a premium tea selection, hot chocolate, and rusks. You also have a DVD player, hair dryer, heater or fan, electric blankets, and down duvets. Those are the listed extras — we will not invent a turn-down menu on top of them.
The house around the suite
House-wide inventory still applies when you take only Master: backup power for lights and Wi-Fi, a backup generator, backup water, secure parking, electric fencing, and a lovely garden with an outdoor kids’ play area. Lights and the kettle are the point of the backup — not a claim that every appliance runs through every outage.
Daily life is village-walkable. Leave the car behind the fence if you like and walk down for dinner. Come back to the lounge and the two balconies. If you need the house kitchen (bean-to-cup machine, gas stove, dishwasher, gas braai), that is the Luxury Guest House whole-house stay, not this single suite.
Interlead and how to book
Interlead with the Loft Family Suite when four adults plus younger children need both first-floor rooms. Loft has the two-bedroom layout and the Zuikerboschkop balcony; Master keeps the King XL, the dressing room, and the double shower. We do not publish a nightly figure here.
